The following cabbage soup diet reviews should offer a dose of reality for those considering soup dieting. But before I say anything that would lead you to believe that I'm too one sided I will say you (as others have already) can lose serious weight using the cabbage soup diet.

I would advise you to weigh the risk versus the reward, however. The bottom line is that if you want to lose 10 pounds in a eating soup and bananas, you're going to experience some discomfort, hunger pangs, and other side effects. Some experience more or less effects than others.

I'm sure you understand and don't need a cabbage soup diet review to realize that soup dieting, particularly cabbage soup dieting, seriously lacks the adequate nutrition your body needs for a 7 day period...namely protein, fiber, and those all essential vitamins and minerals.

But for the sake of quick weight loss that may not be a concern.However...

A common meal for soup dieting consists of lots of skim milk, and an entire bunch of bananas... so you really might think about providing gas masks for your family and friends after these meals.

In my experience there are other less extreme diet plans that offer 5-10lbs of weight loss in 9-11 days but with a meal plan that is actually healthy and with a long term solution. Anyway, The rationale behind the Cabbage Soup Diet is that cabbage can somehow 'flush' fat from your body. Of course, this claim is unsubstantiated. However, drinking the recommended 7-8 glasses of water a day will aid in flushing you body of impurities as well as fat but that's nothing new to any diet.


Cabbage Soup Diet:


The Soup:

1 head cabbage
6 green onions
2 green peppers
1 can diced tomatoes
1 bunch celery
1 pack Lipton onion soup mix
(You may also include a large can of V-8 juice)

To begin dice the vegetables into small, bite size pieces. Add a a pinch of salt and pepper for flavor if you prefer. Mix all the ingredients in a large pot, and add just enough water to cover everything. Bring it to a boil, then turn the heat down, and simmer until the veggies are soft.

The Diet:

Day 1: Eat as much soup as you want, but eat only fruits(no bananas), drink unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice, and water.

Day 2: Eat raw or cooked vegetables all you want, but avoid beans, peas and corn. No fruits, and eat all the cabbage soup you want. Have a baked potato with butter at dinner.

Day 3: You can eat as much fruit and veggies as you want, but no baked potato.

Day 4: Bananas and skimmed milk with as much cabbage soup as you want.

Day 5: Eat 10 to 20 ounces of beef and up to 6 tomatoes. Eat cabbage soup at least once, and drink 6 to 8 glasses of water.

Day 6: Stuff yourself with veggies and beef. Eat the cabbage soup at least once. No baked potato.

Day 7: Stuff yourself with brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and veggies. Eat cabbage soup at least once. No bread, alcohol, or diet soda.

After doing my own cabbage soup diet reviews research I decided to take a look at the notoriously named diet: Fat Loss 4 Idiots. I had had enough...no more soup diets with all its horror stories.

After reading both user and professional reviews I went ahead and subscribed to the FatLoss4Idiots online diet dashboard. Extremely user friendly and as the name suggests difficult to not do right.

In short I shed 6 pounds in 11 days without any side effects. (I admit that I cheated a day prior to the 11th day. Overall, I actually felt better in the mornings with more energy throughout the day..especially after work when I'm typically exhausted.

Considering the above, I'm not sure why someone would pick the torturous soup diets over fatloss4idiots....irregardless of it's name. In the end both diets offer significant short term weight loss. Based on the the cabbage soup diet reviews, however, the diet just pushes the envelope too fast too far.
