Soup diets have the classic "get thin quick" temptation and allure that's hard to resist for those who want to get ready for some special event in the very near future. But is it worth the risk, and the probable side effects.

The soup diet is about as extreme as it gets. It's about as close to a starvation diet as you can get....nutritionists speculate you get a mere 800-1,000 calories a day with soup dieting. We could almost call this a concentration camp diet plan.
